Easier replacement of in-tank pumps
Information on use
How do I get the fuel pump (petrol pump, diesel pump) for a replacement or repair out of the fuel supply unit? Has the pre-feeder pump malfunctioned in the fuel system? We show you how easy it is to replace with a special tool in the event of a defect. Recommended for every specialist workshop. See our linked Technipedia article to find out which components, in addition to the sender unit, high-pressure pump, petrol pump and fuel line, also belong to the fuel supply.

Tool for fuel pumps |
4.00063.00.0 |
Motorservice has a range of spare pumps on offer on which it is not necessary to substitute the entire pump module – only the pump itself is replaced. With this tool (Pierburg No. 4.00063.00.0) a replacement is no problem.
The tool is intended for conveniently lifting the six electric fuel pumps shown below out of the pump module.
Dismantling
Dismantling is so simple - Position the tool, turn it and then withdraw the pump from its fixture.
The tool expands the fixtures securing the fuel pump in the pump module. This functions extremely well on fuel pumps with an angled delivery-pipe tube.
