On many modern vehicles, the fuel pump is actually part of a pump module which is located in the fuel tank, together with add-on units such as the pressure regulator and fluid-level sensor.
Motorservice has a range of spare pumps on offer on which it is not necessary to substitute the entire pump module – only the pump itself is replaced. With this tool (Pierburg No. 4.00063.00.0) a replacement is no problem.
The tool is intended for conveniently lifting the six electric fuel pumps shown below out of the pump module.

Dismantling is so simple:
Position the tool, turn it and then withdraw the pump from its fixture.
The tool expands the fixtures securing the fuel pump in the pump module. This functions extremely well on fuel pumps with an angled delivery-pipe tube.
