Twelve combination possibilities
Up to now, each individual component of these oil pumps such as pump housings, gears, screws, washers, screw locking devices, spring washers, hexagon nuts, coupling sleeves and O-ring seals had to be ordered separately using an individual item number. Thanks to the new configuration system, you can now simply choose between three pumps with the item numbers 20 1402 08260, 20 1402 08340 and
20 1402 08360 and combine them with one of four drive gears. The drive gears are different from one another in diameter, height and number of teeth. The selected pump is supplied pre-assembled, including the appropriate gaskets and connecting elements – this means that you do not have to purchase any additional parts. In addition, threadlocker and detailed assembly instructions are included in the scope of supply. The spare parts specialist ensures reliable functioning of the pumps through careful tests: each individual pump is tested on the test rig according to OE specifications with regard to volumetric flow and oil pressure before delivery.
Development
When designing the oil pumps, the development engineers from Motorservice did not only place great importance on a field of application that is as large as possible, the new developments also had to meet the company's high quality standards. One thing that is special about the design of the oil pumps is that both displacement gear wheels in the pump housing are produced from sintered metal. Compared to gears made from solid material, this enables a more precise mould contour with very small radii. In turn, this ensures a very high level of even running of the pump during operation and therefore a correspondingly lower level of noise in the engine. The oil pumps are used in over a million vehicles globally with the MAN D08 engine model range (Euro IV to VI). These are trucks from the TGL and TGM series, MAN buses and agricultural machines, construction machines, special vehicles and industrial engines.
